Facilities

The Department has two computer labs in two different locations. The first/second year lab is located in S13 Level 5; the third year/honours/postgraduate lab is at SOC1 Level 7. The labs are equipped with the state-of-the-art computer facility.

The 1st/2nd year lab has 48 Linux workstations and 50 PCs. The 3rd year/honours/postgraduate lab has over 50 Unix Workstations with a mixture of fast HP Itaniums, Digital Alphas and SGI Octanes. This level of computing equipment support for undergraduate education and for research is rare any where in the world.
